About

Saint Joseph Mercy Chelsea is an alcohol and drug addiction treatment facility that is located at 350 North Main Street in Chelsea, Michigan. Treating substance abuse involves multiple stages of treatment through a recovery program such as that offered by Saint Joseph Mercy Chelsea. This can include group counseling, individual counseling, outpatient treatment, inpatient treatment, and medically assisted detox, among many others. Treatment programs are based on the individual themselves and are constructed to suit each patient individually. Just as every person is unique, so should treatment programs and that is exactly what patients will receive at Saint Joseph Mercy Chelsea.

If addicts do not obtain the right type of support and guidance, they may find treatment to be very difficult as the thought of sobriety can seem so far-fetched. At Saint Joseph Mercy Chelsea, professional counseling and guidance are provided to all patients aged Seniors or older adults, giving them the strength needed in order to obtain a life that is free of drug and alcohol addiction. By altering the patient's outlook on life through addiction treatment, they will be able to stay positive throughout the duration of rehab.

The staff members at Saint Joseph Mercy Chelsea have a mission and that is to give patients effective and quality addiction treatment so that long-lasting sobriety can be obtained. The path to a positive future starts on a positive foot and that begins at Saint Joseph Mercy Chelsea. Confronting addiction is a difficult thing to do, but it is the most important step in the recovery process. Through professional counseling during the patient's time in treatment, patients will learn coping skills and trigger management which is imperative to the success of maintaining sobriety.

Maintaining sobriety on one's own is extremely difficult, especially when the addict has tried to go 'cold turkey' on their own. This is because it requires medically-assisted detox in order to properly and safely wean the body off of the substance of abuse. This way the body does not go through sudden withdrawal nor experience harsh side effects. Saint Joseph Mercy Chelsea can provide patients with all of the necessary tools, treatments, and resources so that patients have every opportunity to succeed in recovery.

Getting treatment is the best option when seeking a life that is free of substance abuse. Get the help required now and start living the best life possible. Contact Saint Joseph Mercy Chelsea by visiting www.stjoeschelsea.org now.

I saw Jesse for a few months for depression and anxiety and he was unlike any therapist I had seen before. He helped me with life skills, goal setting, feeling more productive, coping mechanisms, etc. He never asked me “why do you think you feel that way?” Or any of those other “typical” therapy questions that make you so frustrated you want to walk out. He was very easy to talk to and had a very modern approach to therapy. The women at the front desk are so incredibly nice. I also see Dr. P and he is great. He makes your mental health feel important and doesn’t minimize your symptoms, even if they are much lesser than other patients he sees. The only problem I have had here was previously, I had a therapist I didn’t like and in order to see someone knew, I had to tell my therapist I didn’t like them. That made me very uncomfortable so I went elsewhere for a few years before returning.

I'm extremely happy with the care I received this morning. I woke up crying bc I was in an excruciating amount of pain. I was prepared to wait atleast an hour in the ER but I got very lucky & was thankful to be the taken in right away. My nurse Trish was so kind & compassionate it actually calmed my crying down knowing that I was in good hands. Dr Kaiser was very nice, calm & his humor made me smile despite the pain I was in, so I appreciated that. Trish put warm blankets on me & was very attentive to my needs. I was insecure that because I wasn't bleeding out or something that I wouldn't be taken as seriously but they didn't make me feel that way. It's the first time I've ever felt relaxed in a hospital. Even before I received any medicine I started to feel better from the gentle care I was receiving. Thank you Dr. Kaiser & Nurse Trish. It goes to show that the attitudes & environment can really be affective on a person's state of mind.

The psychiatric department is the best I have found. The ER is also very good. I don't know about the rest of the hospital, but my experience with the 2 departments mentioned was great. On a side note, the location is also great. Surrounded by trees, wildlife, and walking trails which is very therapeutic.

From the RNs to the support staff and my doctors I feel like I’m getting the best care. With lots of supporting medication protocols and abortives the Head Pain Center at St. Jo’s is helping my chronic headache. As you can see the food was excellent! My friends thought that I was on a cruise. Remember: Strawberry Short Cake 🍰.
